Good Company Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 03-Jul-2017
Bright pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on the rim. The nose is softly full with gentle, pungent passionfruit aromas harmoniously melded with cut grass, fresh herbs and nettles. The aromatics build in depth and intensity with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has up-front, soft and gently mouthfilling flavours of passionfruit, nettles and herbs. The palate is smooth and even, with light phenolic textures providing some grip, and soft acidity enlivens the mouthfeel. The wine carries to a soft, light finish of passionfruit and cut grass. This is a soft, gentle, up-front Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit, nettle, cut grass and herbal flavours. Serve with Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from the company’s vineyards in the Awatere and Wairau Valleys, cool-fermented in tank to 12.5% alc. and 4.2 g/L RS. 17.0/20 Jul 2017 RRP $38.00
