Good Company Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay 2016

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 09-Sep-2017
Bright staw-yellow colour with slight lemon-green hues. This has a light, fresh nose of citrus fruits and white stonefruits entwined with delicate nuances of spicy and nutty lees and oak, and suggestions of lemon curd. Dry to taste and medium-full bodied, the palate has a moderately concentrated heart with citrus fruit and stonefruit flavours, along with subtle notes of spice and nutty oak. The mouthfeel is fresh and zesty with crisp acidity, and the wine flows along a tight, but soft-textured line with some length. This is a fresh and zesty Chardonnay with citrussy fruit and subtle oak-like flavours. Match with most white meat dishes over the next 2-3 years. Fruit from Korokipo, Crownthorpe, Bridge Pa and Mangatahi, fermented in a range of vessels to 13.5% alc. and 1.5 g/L RS, the wine aged on lees with batonnage. 16.5-/20 Jul 2017 RRP $38.00
