Goldwater Wairau Valley Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 03-Aug-2012
Fruit from the Waihopai and Dillons Point districts, stainless-steel fermented to 13.0% alc. Very pale straw with hints of green to the colour, this has a soft, but fresh and youthful bouquet of pungent passionfruit and gooseberry fruits. Dry to taste, this is quite tightly bound, seemingly reserved, but showing a good mix of passionfruit flavours moderated by gooseberry and hints of minerals. The feature is the softness of texture, while fresh underlying acidity remains. The finish is dry and softly textured. This is a soft and youthful Sauvignon Blanc to drink over the next 2-3 years. 18.0-/20 Aug 2012 RRP $23.50
