Gladstone Vineyard Gladstone Rosé 2016

Rose from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 22-Nov-2016
Pale candyfloss pink colour with some depth and suggestion of purple on the rim. The nose is tightly bound with fine and firmly concentrated aromas of cranberries and pomegranate with watermelon and herbs, lifted by red florals. Dry to taste and medium-full bodied, the palate possesses gentle flavours of cranberries, strawberries, watermelon and aromatic red florals. The fruit is subtly rich at the core with fine, dry phenolic textures providing balance and a thirst-quenching mouthfeel. The acidity is ripe and soft, lending good vibrancy, and the wine carries to an aromatic floral finish. This is a pretty and gentle dry rosé with flavours of cranberries, pomegranate and red florals on a well-balanced, mouthwatering palate. Serve as an aperitif, with canapes and tapas over the next 2 years. A blend of 63% Cabernet Franc, 19% Merlot and 18% Pinot Noir, given 2 hours skin contact and cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. and 1.7 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Nov 2016 RRP $25.00
