Glacier Bay Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 13-Jun-2014
Bright pale straw-yellow colour with light green hues, pale on rim. The bouquet is fresh, firm and intense with aromas of gooseberry fruit, cooler spectrum grass and nettle notes, herb, limes and minerals, lifted with some fermentation esters. Dry to taste, the palate has a weighty core of gooseberries, nettles and some tropical fruit notes. The mouthfeel is rounded and smooth flowing, with soft textures and slippery acidity that provides a thirst-quenching liveliness. This has presence and line that carries through to a soft, lingering finish with fresh gooseberry flavours. This is a cooler-spectrum, refreshing Sauvignon Blanc with a soft and slippery mouthfeel. Serve with seafood and poultry over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and <1 g/L RS. 17.0/20 Aug 2013 RRP $20.00
