Giunta Chenin Blanc 2021, Hawke’s Bay

Chenin Blanc from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 10-Feb-2022
Bright, even, pale yellow with subtle, fine effervescent. The nose is softly full with ripe stonefruit, lemon zest, white floral and spicy. Medium-bodied, excellent concentration on the palate, aromas of ripe yellow nectarine, papaya, salted lime melded with lily blossom and galangal. The palate is mouth-filling with density and spice; subtle fine-textured phenolics contribute a smooth flow. Balanced acidity lengthened by salinity. This Chenin Blanc possesses a smooth mouthfeel of ripe and tropical fruit, floral and spice complexity. Match with siu mai and monkfish yellow curry over the next 3 years. Fruit from Two Terraces Vineyard in Maraekakaho, 13% alc. 18-/20 pts (89 pts) Feb 2022 RRP $32
