Giunco Vermentino di Sardegna DOC 2012

Other White from Italy - Other
Review Date : 13-Apr-2014
Bright lemon-yellow colour with light green-gold hues. This has a very fresh and elegantly intense nose of detailed and lifted exotic florals along with yellow stonefruit notes. Dry to taste and medium-full-bodied, an up-front core of well-concentrated flavours of exotic florals, herbs and nuts shows with some richness. The mouthfeel is rounded, with good weight and vinosity, but enlivened by fresh, lacy acidity. The palate follows a very fine textured line that leads to a light, crisp, dry finish. This is an up-front, exotic-fruited Vermentino with good weight and fresh acidity. Match with seafood and Mediterranean fare over the next 2-3 years. Vermentino from Sulcis, Sardinia, given partial skin contact and cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. 17.5+/20 Apr 2014 RRP $28.95
