Geyser Peak California Pinot Noir 2012

Pinot Noir from USA
Review Date : 15-Sep-2016
Even red colour with light garnet hues, pale on the rim with a little bricking. This has a light, up-front and straightforward, primary-fruited bouquet with fresh red cherry and berry fruit aromas along with subtle herb notes and some resinous nuances. The aromatics build in depth, unfolding red floral fragrances. Medium-bodied, the fruit flavours of red cherry and berry fruit are light in expression but bright and sweet, unveiling some richness. The mouthfeel is soft and supple with light tannin extraction and integrated acidity. Some herbal and resinous oak-like elements add detail and the wine carries to a cherry and plum flavoured finish. This is a bright, sweet-fruited Pinot Noir with a supple mouthfeel. Serve with antipasto, poultry and pork over the next 2-3 years. Fruit fermented to 13.5% alc., the wine given light French oak aging. 16.0-/20 Sep 2016 RRP $15.99
