Geyser Peak California Pinot Grigio 2013

Pinot Gris from USA
Review Date : 15-Sep-2016
Bright, very pale straw colour, near colourless on the rim. The nose is very fresh and tightly bound with aromas of white stonefruits and subtle exotic floral elements, along with suggestions of nuts. The aromatics are clean pure and delicate, and unfold fragrant herb detail in the glass. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate is slender in presentation with good intensity and finely concentrated, subtle flavours of white stonefruits in a harmonious amalgam of florals, herbs and nuts. The mouthfeel is refreshing and gently crisp with balanced, lacy acidity. The wine follows a light, dry-textured line, leading to a clean, light finish. This is a crisp, slender white stonefruit flavoured Pinot Grigio with floral, herb and nutty detail and a light, dry-textured palate line. Serve as an aperitif, with seafood and Asian fare over the next 2 years. Fermented with a portion of Gewurztraminer to 13.0% alc. 16.0+/20 Sep 2016 RRP $15.99
