Georges Road ‘Les Terrasses’ Waipara Rosé 2016

Rose from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 21-Jun-2017
Bright, peach-salmon pink colour with some depth, lighter on the edge. The nose is fresh and bright with aromatic fruit notes of strawberries and redcurrants along with pomegranate and an amalgam of red florals and fresh herbs. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate has fresh, firm, lusciously mouthwatering flavours of strawberries, redcurrants and pomegranates, along with lifted red florals. The mouthfeel is bright and lively with crisp acidity, and the wine flows along a fine-textured phenolic line leading to a thirst-quenching finish of soft red fruits and florals. This is a fresh, brisk, mouthwatering dry rosé with flavours of strawberries, redcurrants and pomegranate with lifted florals on a fine-featured, lively palate. Serve as an aperitif, with canapes and antipasto over the next 2 years. Hand-picked MS clone Syrah fruit, destemmed and crushed, and indigenous yeast fermented in tank to 12.3% alc. and 2.5 g/L RS, the wine aged on lees. 200 dozen made. 18.5/20 Jun 2017 RRP $21.00
