Georges Road ‘Les Terrasses’ Waipara Rosé 2014

Rose from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 29-Jul-2014
Hand-picked Syrah fruit, indigenous yeast fermented to 12.0% alc. and 4.5 g/L RS, the wine aged on lees. Light purple-pink colour with some depth, lighter on rim. The nose is fresh and pretty with fruit aromas of strawberries and raspberries and cream, lifted by subtle confectionary notes. A minerally steeliness lends depth and intensity. Dry to taste, bright and vibrantly sweet fruit flavours of raspberries and cream are lifted by strawberry and red floral notes. The mouthfeel features a fine textural line with balanced background acidity, is dry and mouthwatering. Delicate confectionary nuances add attractive detail, and the flavours carry through to a crisp, dry, fine and lingering finish. This is a crisp, dry and vibrant rosé with delicate raspberry and cream fruit flavours. Serve as an aperitif, with tapas and dim sum over the next 2 years. 150 dozen made. 17.5-/20 Jul 2014 RRP $21.50
