Georges Michel ‘Golden Mile’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 23-Mar-2012
Bright straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, pale on rim. This has a softly full and fresh fruited nose of a gooseberry and passonfruit amalgam, also showing herb and flinty notes. Dry, crisp and with elevated acidity, grassy flavours and passionfruit elements are underlined by a textural thread that leads to a crisp, zingy and dry finish, with light flavours of herbs and cut grass. This is a racy wine, with pungent fruit aromas and a textured and dry palate. Match with shellfish over the next 2 years. Rapaura district fruit cool-fermented to 13.0% alc and 3.4 g/L rs, the wine spent 8 months on lees. 16.5+/20 Mar 2012 RRP $18.50
