Georges Michel ‘Golden Mile’ Marlborough Chardonnay 2009

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 23-Mar-2012
Stainless-steel fermented to 13.5% alc., the wine aged 9 months in 1 and 2 y.o. French oak barriques. Brilliant straw-yellow colour with lemony hues. The nose is fresh and elegant, with up-front, steely citrus fruit aromas along with nutty characters and an oxidative note adding interest. Dry and medium-weighted, light and subtle flavours of citrus and tropical fruits build to a core on palate. The mouthfeel is rounded and balanced, with bright acidity keeping the palate fresh and lively. This is a delicate fruited wine with some balance and freshness. Match with seafood and poultry over the next 2-3+ years. 16.0+/20 Mar 2012 RRP $21.00
