Gardet Champagne ‘Brut Tradition’ NV

Sparkling Wine from France - Champagne
Review Date : 26-Sep-2011
A blend of 45% Pinot Noir, 45% Pinot Meunier and 10% Chardonnay, with 20% reserve wine, the wine with 3 years on lees, the dosage 8-9 g/L, disgorged early 2011. Pale straw-yellow colour with a persistent bead, this has a full, dense and powerful nose showing Pinot depth and richness with good autolysis and aldehyde elements. Dry to taste, this is full-bodied, rounded and creamy in texture with harmonious bready-yeast flavours prominent. The palate has a softness and accessibility from moderate acidity, but is underlined with a firm depth of black fruits. A solid wine, with roundness enabling immediate appeal.  Sep 2011  RRP $49.99
