Fuzion Mendoza Shiraz/Malbec 2014

Blended Red from Argentina
Review Date : 27-Jan-2016
Dark ruby-red colour with moderate depth and light purple hues on the edge. This has a softly presented, elegant nose with moderately deep aromas of ripe dark red and black berried fruits along with peppery elements and subtle cinnamon spice nuances, and red floral lift. Medium-bodied, the palate is soft and juicy with sweetly ripe flavours of raspberries and blackberries which unfold pepper and spice notes. The lush mouthfeel is enhanced by balanced acidity and light tannin extraction. The wine flows along a fine, light-textured line, carrying through to a juicy, slightly jammy finish. This is a sweet and juicy Shiraz/Malbec blend with red and black fruits and a soft mouthfeel. Serve with tapas, antipasto and barbecued fare over the next 2-3 years. A blend of 70% Shiraz and 30% Malbec, the fruit hand-picked and fermented to 13.5% alc. 15.5+/20 Jan 2016 RRP $21.95
