Fuzion Mendoza Shiraz/Cabernet 2014

Blended Red from Argentina
Review Date : 27-Jan-2016
Dark, deep ruby-red colour, lighter on the rim. The nose is soft and light with harmoniously presented aromas of dark red berry fruits along with gentle currant, herb and cassis elements, revealing some peppery notes with aeration. Medium-bodied, the flavours are soft and light, showing curranty fruit, herbs and pepper. The tannin extraction is gentle and supple, integrating well with the fruit. Brisk acidity marks the palate, lending a lively and zesty mouthfeel, and the wine leads to a light-textured, curranty flavoured finish. This is a brisk, but soft textured Shiraz/Cabernet blend with currant, herb and peppery flavours. Match with pasta, pizza and barbecued fare over the next 2+ years. A blend of 70% Shiraz and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, the fruit hand-picked and fermented to 13.0% alc. and 4.5 g/L RS. 15.5-/20 Jan 2016 RRP $21.95
