Fromm ‘La Strada’ Marlborough Rosé 2016

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 19-Oct-2016
Bright, very pale candy-floss pink with slight purple hues, lighter on the rim. The nose is very fresh and tight with thirst-quenching, delicate aromas of pomegranate, cranberries and slight nuances of herbs, along with minerally elements, revealing suggestions of red florals. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate features a firm core and line with subtle flavours of mineral infused pomegranate, cranberries and cherry fruit. The palate possesses a fine-textured line and crisp, lacy acidity lending a thirst-quenching mouthfeel. The flavours carry to a dry finish with positive drive, and nuances of cranberries and pomegranate. This is a dry, mouthwatering rosé with a firm core and line of delicate fruit flavours with fine textures and crisp acidity, in the classic southern French style. Serve as an aperitif and with tapas over the next 2 years. A blend of 85% Pinot Noir free-run from the Southern Valleys, 13.5% Malbec from the Brancott Valley and 1.5% Syrah from the ‘Fromm’ vineyard, the Malbec given 24 hours skin contact and tank-fermented to 13.5% alc. and 0.25 g/l RS, the wine given minimal lees influence. Certified BioGro organic. 17.5-/20 Oct 2016RRP $23.50
