Fromm ‘Fromm Vineyard’ Marlborough Pinot Noir 1999

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 13-Mar-2012
Dark, deep ruby red, this has a very densely concentrated nose with black fruits, iron, earth and meat aromas, starting to show some secondary interest, but with much more to come. Very concentrated and deeply packed with dark red berry fruits, there are some savoury mushroom elements showing. The core of the wine is still to unfold, and very fine-grained tannins form an intense and long palate line. This should continue to evolve over the next 7-9+ years. Made from older clones including Abel, fermented to 14.5% alc.   20.0/20  Mar 2012
