Fromm ‘Clayvin Vineyard’ Marlborough Chardonnay 2001

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 13-Mar-2012
Light golden colour, with a deep, full nose with complex yellow stonefruits and citrus fruits with strong oxidative nutty aromas. The palate is one of richness, depth and power, lush and broad, some heat showing. The oxidation and nutty component merges well with the savoury development characters. Very long on the finish. Probably a little past its best. Mendoza clone Chardonnay wild yeast fermented to 14.5% alc., the wine aged nearly 24 months in seasoned oak with 100% MLF.  17.5+/20  Mar 2012
