Frogmore Creek Tasmania Pinot Noir 2012

Pinot Noir from Australia - Tasmania
Review Date : 30-Dec-2014
Darkish ruby-red colour with some garnet on rim. The bouquet is soft, light and open, with an easy style with fresh soft red berry fruits with some ripe plum notes, along with confectionary lift, as with whole berry fermentation. Medium-full bodied, ripe dark berry and plum fruit flavours feature on the palate with jam and confectionary elements. The mouthfeel is solid with a rounded robustness with grainy tannin extraction providing plenty of structure. The acidity is soft and there is some savoury development appearing. Coal River Valley, fruit given a cold soak and fermented to 13.8% alc., the wine aged in French oak. 17.5-/20 Dec 2014 RRP AU$36.00
