Frizzell ‘Ka Mate’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 14-Nov-2011
100% Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. the wine spending time on lees. Bright, pale straw-yellow with green hues and a pale rim. The nose is soft, full and gentle with pungent passionfruit, green apple and lime aromas, lifted with some fresh fermentation esters. Dryish and elegant, the palate has gently luscious and subtly sweet passionfruit and exotic herb flavours enhanced by lively and slippery acidity. The flavours flow effortlessly and the freshness has energy leading to a moderately long and attractively fruit nuanced finish. A wine with accessibility, good richness and harmony. Match with Asian seafood and chicken dishes over the next 2 years. 17.0+/20 Nov 2011 RRP $24.95
