French Peak Banks Peninsula Pinot Grigio 2015

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 07-Dec-2015
Bright, very pale straw, near colourless on edge. The nose is slender in proportion and tightly bound with clear and pure aromas of white stonefruits lifted by white florals, unveiling nuances of fresh herbs and minerals with aeration. Dryish to taste and medium-bodied, the palate features light aromatic white stonefruit flavours with florals and nuances of honeysuckle. The fruit is moderately concentrated, forming an elegant core with linear drive. Integrated acidity adds to the harmonious mouthfeel and subtle richness which leads to a sustained finish of white stonefruits, citrus and lemon-curd suggestions. This is an elegant, aromatic, dryish Pinot Gris with a fine, fresh core and line. Match with Thai, Japanese and Vietnamese cuisine over the next 2+ years. Hand-picked fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 5.27 g/L RS. 16.5+/20 Dec 2015 RRP $28.00
