Francois Chidaine ‘Les Choisilles’ Montlouis sur Loire 2008

Chenin Blanc from France - Loire
Review Date : 09-Oct-2012
Bright, even straw-yellow colour with hints of gold. The bouquet is very elegant, finely presented and pure with piquant floral ad stonefruit aromas. The steeliness and clarity suggest New World, as the nose reveals subtle oak spices. Dry to taste, this has classical acid and steel features, very fine and tight, delicate white florals, and building oak nuttiness and spiciness. Crisp and detailed, this has a Chablis-like feel. This will age well over the next 5-6 years. From vines 30-90 y.o., indigenous yeast fermented to 13.5% alc. and 5 g/L rs in 600 L demi-muids, aged on lees in barrels for 11 months. 18.5-/20 Oct 2012
