Framingham Marlborough ‘Select’ Riesling 2011

Riesling from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 28-Sep-2011
Representing the Spatlese style. Fruit from the second pass through the vineyard, no botrytis, stainless steel fermented to 8.5% alc. and 65 g/L rs. Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with green hues, the bouquet is finely expressed and tight with lime fruit and a steely, minerally edge. Medium in sweetness, the palalate shows considerable drive from racy acidity, the steely, lime fruit flavours laced with mineral notes are extremely vibrant and showing great nervosity. This is a wine with precision and clear-cut fruit, and an underlying driven power. This will develop well over the next 5-6 years. 1650 bottles made.  Sep 2011  RRP $35.00
