Framingham Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 25-Oct-2015
Bright, even, light straw-yellow colour, lighter on the rim. The nose is soft and elegant with light aromas of ripe gooseberries, yellow capsicums and stonefruits, unfolding gentle herbal detail with hints of nuts and minerals. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, light flavours of ripe gooseberries, yellow stonefruits and herbs show with good weight and presence, forming a soft, vinous core. The fruit is moderately juicy and rich, and flows easily, guided by a soft-textured line, enlivened by gentle, lacy acidity. The wine leads to a moderately long finish of yellow stonefruits and capsicums. This is a soft and gentle Sauvignon Blanc with light gooseberry and yellow stonefruit flavours and good vinosity. Serve as an aperitif and with Pacific Rim fare over the next 18 months to 2 years. Fruit from 9 sites in the Wairau Valley, 93% cool-fermented in stainless-steel and 7% in barrel to 13.0% alc. 17.5-/20 Oct 2015 RRP $21.00
