Framingham Marlborough Noble Riesling 2011

Sweet Wine from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 28-Sep-2011
Representing the Auslese ‘Gold Cap' level, a blend of five Auslese picks, the bunches ranging from 15-100% botrytis infection, averaging around 50-60%, fermented partly in barrel to 8.5% alc. and 180 g/L rs. Brilliant lemony-gold yellow colour with a light edge, the bouquet is fresh, piercingly vibrant and lifted with excellent lime fruit varietal clarity harmoniously melded with fine honey and waxy marmalade botrytis aromas. Very sweet, the crisp, driven richness on the palate is the highlight. Excellent power of finely expressed ripe lime fruits interwoven with honey and apricot, beautifully cut by racy acidity. The elegance of proportion, focus and tightness leads to a very long, sustained finish flowing with exotic nuances. 3000 bottles made. (375 ml).  Sep 2011  RRP $35.00
