Framingham Marlborough ‘Classic’ Riesling 2010

Riesling from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 25-Sep-2012
Bright straw-yellow colour with glints of pale green-gold. The nose is full of limes and honey with delicate toasty interest just developing. The aromatics are still tightly bound, but have purity and clarity of expression. Slightly sweet to taste, gentle and subtle flavours of honey and toast underlined with citrus fruit form a good core and palate line. A light creaminess of texture is poised with fine lacy acidity and the flavours lead to a long, dry, slightly austere, toasty finish with some honied notes. This is a restrained and gently flavoured, slightly sweet Riesling that is developing some secondary toasty interest. Serve as an aperitif or with Middle Eastern and Asian cuisine over the next 4-5+ years. From vines up to 30 y.o., fermented to 11.5% alc. and 17 g/L, the TA 8.0 g/L and pH 2.95. 18.0/20 Sep 2012 RRP $25.00
