Framingham ‘F-Series’ Marlborough Riesling Auslese 2011

Sweet Wine from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 28-Sep-2011
Mainly clean fruit with 15-30% botrytis-affected berries, wild yeast fermented, partially in oak to 8.5% alc. and 140 g/L rs. Bright lemon-gold in colour with a pale edge, this has a full and soft nose with good depth of matty talc botrytis, lime and marmalade fruit, with honey nuances, the bouquet quite complex in expression. Very sweet, this has a good core with depth of lime fruit, honey, and apricotty botrytis, the wine showing moderate weight and soft effusive textures that gently flow across the palate. Fine acidity underlines the richness and provides balance. 380 bottles made. (500 ml)  Sep 2011  RRP $40.00
