Framingham ‘F-Series’ Marlborough Pinot Gris Vendange Tardive 2011

Sweet Wine from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 28-Sep-2011
Made from dehydrated fruit with around 15% botrytis, partial wild ferment and partly in barrel to 8.5% alc. and 160 g/L rs. Straw-yellow colour with some golden hues, this has a voluminous nose with restrained ripe, spiced pears and honey aromas. Very sweet with concentration and medium-weight, there are excellent varietal flavours of pears, citrus fruits, caramel and honey, with a touch of reduction bitterness. The palate is oily and luscious, but brisk acidity provides cut and freshness on the finish. 400 bottles made.  (500 ml)  Sep 2011  RRP $40.00
