Four Hawk Day Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 15-Oct-2014
Fruit from the ‘Landon-Lane/Janssen Family’ vineyard, Waihopi, cool-fermented to 12.4% alc. and 5.5 g/L RS. Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, pale edged. The nose is very fine and elegantly proportioned with softly packed aromas of pungent passionfruit and tropical fruits. Dry to taste and medium-light bodied, clear-cut pungent passionfruit flavours form a soft-textured core. There is an elegance and depth to the wine. Fresh, lacy and slippery acidity, and fine phenolic textures guide the palate with good energy, carrying the passionfruit and savoury stonefruit flavours to a soft, dry and light finish. This is a light Sauvignon Blanc with pungent fruit flavours and a refreshing, slippery mouthfeel. Serve as an aperitif and with salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. 17.0/20 Oct 2014 RRP $22.00
