Four Hawk Day Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 21-Oct-2013
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on rim. The nose is very fresh and tight, with elegantly presented aromas of gooseberry fruit, limes and herbs that grow in depth. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, fresh, lively and sweet, juicy flavours of gooseberry fruit show with purity and delicacy. The lusciousness is harmoniously balanced by very fine textures and the palate has liveliness and vitality with fresh acidity adding excellent tension. Smooth flowing and thirst-quenching, the flavours of gooseberries and herbs carry through to a long and sustained finish. This is an elegant and pure, gooseberry fruited Sauvignon Blanc with balanced juiciness and vitality. Serve as an aperitif or match with seafood and poultry over the next 2 years. Cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.7% alc. and 4.3 g/L RS, the wine aged on lees 17.5/20 Oct 2013 RRP $21.99
