Four Hawk Day Marlborough Rosé 2015

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 22-Dec-2015
Bright, soft strawberry pink colour with some depth, lighter edged. The nose is softly concentrated with refreshing aromas of strawberries, quince and pomegranate and subtle herbal elements. The aromatics build in depth and volume, unfolding red floral and delicate strawberry confectionary notes. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the flavours of strawberries and cream, quince and pomegranate are entwined with subtle savoury herbal detail and show with some richness and presence. The fruit is immediate, and carried by light textures and balanced, lacy acidity. As the wine flows the flavours recede to a clean, refreshing, zesty and dry finish with soft strawberry fruit notes. This is a gentle, softly refreshing dry rosé with a clean, light finish. Serve as an aperitif, with canapes and antipasto over the next 2 years. Based on estate Mariafeld 3 clone fruit cool-fermented to 12.9% alc. and 3.5 g/L RS, the wine aged on lees. 17.5-/20 Dec 2015 RRP $24.00
