Four Hawk Day Marlborough Rosé 2014

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 15-Oct-2014
Bright, youthful light purple-pink colour with some depth, pale on rim. The nose is fresh and lively with bright strawberries and cream aromas along with attractively lifted florals and some fresh fermentation esters and confectionary elements, the aromatics blossoming in the glass. Off-dry to taste and medium-bodied, lusciously bright and juicy strawberry fruit flavours are intermixed with fruit pastille notes. The fruit sweetness is balanced by a fine and delicate textural line, with fresh acidity enhancing the fruit aromatics. This is very accessible and easy, and the wine flows easily to a delicate, dry, thirst-quenching finish. This is an elegant and easy rosé with lively, juicy flavours of strawberries and cream. Serve as an aperitif and al fresco over the next 2 years. Mariafeld 3 clone Pinot Noir fruit given 24 hours skin contact blended with 7% Sauvignon Blanc, cool-fermented to 12.9% alc. and 5.6 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Oct 2014 RRP $24.00
