Forrest ‘The Doctors’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc Alc 9.5% 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 10-Dec-2012
Secret viticultural techniques and selected clones from selected sites especially for the low-alcohol style. Fermented to 9.5% alc. and 8.9 g/L rs. Brilliant, very pale atraw colour, near colourless on edge. This has a softly full nose with mouthwatering passionfruit aromas with harmoniously interwoven nuances of chalky minerals and flint. Dry to taste, this is slender and taut in mouthfeel, and concentrated flavours of passionfruit are driven by crisp, racy and slippery acidity. The palate has cut and linearity, with plenty of energy and tension from the elevated acidity. The flavours of minerals and passionfruit carry with very good length. This is a slender and tightly concentrated Sauvignon Blanc with slippery mouthfeel and zingy acidity. It's lower alcohol provides an elegance. Serve with shellfish, salads and vegetables over the next 2+ years. 17.5-/20 Dec 2012 RRP $22.00
