The German Mosel Kabinett style of Riesling is taking off in New Zealand. The combination of low alcohol, balanced refreshing acidity and seductive sweetness is suited to anytime drinking with our Asian influenced cuisine. Made from Condors Bend fruit, this was fermented to 8.9% alc. and 44 g/L rs, with a TA of 8.7g/L and a low pH of 2.91. Very pale straw in colour, the bouquet has exotic florals, honey, lime juices and a botrytis-like apricotty note which leads to a medium sweet palate, quite sleek in proportion and textures, the acidity providing life and tension.. The vflavours of limes, citrus zest and flowers abound, and the finesse and length suggest this will keep for another 5-6 years easily. 18.5-/20 Oct 2010 RRP $22.00
