Bright, very pale straw-yellow with a pale rim, the bouquet is fresh and lightly lifted with a core of aromatics based on white stonefruits and florals with mineral notes. Dry to taste, the flavours are tightly bound and restrained in expression, somewhat austere with dry mineral and stone characters alongside stonefruits, nuts and florals. The palate features good body, weight and presence, and crisp, drying acidity that provides a linearity and drive. The finish is moderately sustained and subtle. This has good weight and depth, and a dry, minerally profile that will match seafood and poultry over the next 2-3+ years. Arneis is a northern Piedmont Italian variety, planted in the ‘Gibson's Creek' site. This is the fourth crop, the fruit fermented to 12.0% alc. and 5 g/L rs, with a pH 2.99 and TA 6.6 g/L. 250 cases made. 17.0+/20 Dec 2011 RRP $28.00
