Forrest Marlborough Rosé 2015

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 22-Oct-2015
Bright strawberry pink colour with some depth, lighter on rim. The nose is fresh with moderately full aromas of savoury strawberry fruit lifted by red florals and intensified by nuances of raspberries and fruit pastille confectionary. The aromatics are refreshing with mouthwatering mineral notes. Off-dry to taste and medium-bodied, this is up-front with good depth of strawberry, cranberry and raspberry fruit flavours, nuanced by herbal elements, forming a rounded, concentrated core. Soft phenolic textures provide linearity and the wine flows with gentle acid energy. The wine carries to a well-packed, lingering finish with strawberry and cherry notes. This is a moderately deep and rounded rosé with strawberry and raspberry flavours along with herb nuances. Match with antipasto over the next 2 years. A blend of Pinot Noir, Merlot and St Laurent cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 5.48 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Oct 2015 RRP $22.00
