Forrest Marlborough Rosé 2013

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 02-Sep-2013
Very pale pink with some depth, and some light purple hues on edge. This has a soft, open and accessible bouquet of fresh strawberry fruit and subtle red florals, interwoven with delicate confectionary elements. Dryish to taste, this is fine and elegantly proportioned with gentle flavours of pure strawberry fruit. The mouthfeel is soft and very smooth flowing with fresh, lively acidity underlying. This has attractive balance and harmony, and the flavours build with greater presence, unfolding confectionary nuances on the sustained finish. This is a delicate rosé with subtle strawberry flavours and a smooth, harmoniously balanced palate. Serve as an aperitif and in any al fresco dining situations over the next 2 years. A blend of 77% Pinot Noir and 23% Malbec from the Wairau Valley, given skin contact and cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. and 6.2 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Sep 2013 RRP $20.00
