Forrest ‘Central’ Central Otago Rosé 2016

Rose from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 23-Oct-2017
Bright, light salmon-strawberry pink with a little depth, paler on the rim. The nose is light with a soft core of savoury stonefruits and light red berry fruit notes and a suggestion of florals. Dry to taste, the palate has a softly concentrated heart of stonefruits melded with subtle red berry fruits and red floral elements. The mouthfeel has a fine phenolic textured thread that lends dryness. Soft, mouthwatering, lacy acidity provides energy and enlivens a positive line, providing good drive. The wine has a light-textured, dry finish. This is a delicate rosé with a soft care of stonefruits with nuances of red berries and florals on a mouthwatering dry-textured palate. This gives a nod to the Provence rosé style. Serve with antipasto and tapas over the next 18 months to 2 years. A blend of 60% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Gris and 10% Riesling, fermented to 13.0% alc. and 4.5 g/L RS. 16.5+/20 Oct 2017 RRP $25.00
