Forrest Albarino 2022, Marlborough

Albarino from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 09-Sep-2022
Bright, even, pale yellow with some depth. The nose is soft, penetrating stonefruit, citrus and blossoms. Medium-light bodied, dry-ish to taste, aromas of peach and apricot interweave citrus and white florals. A hint of spice adorned the palate with a slight prickly sensation and brought a sweet-fruited finish. Stony minerals left a light texture and flowed smoothly with lively acidity. This Albarino shows sweet fruit with floral details and a mineral palate. Match with grilled fish and pork dumplings over the next 2-4 years. Fruit from the Southern Valleys, machine harvested, fermented cool in stainless steel to 13% alc, 6.7 g/l RS. 18.5-/20 pts (92 pts) Sep 2022 RRP $28
