Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 13-Dec-2023
Bright, even, pale yellow. This has a reserved, savoury bouquet with penetrating aromas of stonefruit, apple and pear, lemongrass and minerals. Medium-bodied, expressive on the palate, with aromas of stonefruit, apple, pear and grapefruit intertwined with lemongrass, white spice and stony minerals. The mouthfeel is almost chalky, driven by an elegant tension to a savoury, dry finish. This textural, mineral-driven Sauvignon Blanc has zesty fruit and good energy. Match with blue cod and steamed clams over the next 3-5 years. Fermented to 13.5% alc. 18.5/20 pts (93pts) Dec 2023 RRP $30.80
