Folium Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 04-Apr-2016
Bright, light straw-yellow colour with some lemon-green hues, pale on the rim. The nose is very fresh with tightly bound aromas of gooseberries entwined with white florals and subtle herbal notes forming a fine core, revealing hints of minerals with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate features a well-concentrated heart of white stonefruits, gooseberries, herbs and white florals. The mouthfeel possesses a fine-textured line with fresh, mouthwatering acidity lending drive and linearity. This has aromatic clarity and finesse that carries with underlying power to a long finish of stonefruits and herbs. This is a tightly bound, finely textured, mouthwatering Sauvignon Blanc with aromatic gooseberry, stonefruit and herbal flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with seafood over the next 2 years. Fruit from 1.2 ha, vines planted 2003, fermented in stainless-steel to 13.99% alc., the wine aged 8 months on lees. 762 dozen made. 18.0/20 Apr 2016 RRP $28.00
