Five Oaks Moutere Nelson Pinot Gris 2013

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 09-Feb-2014
Bright straw-yellow colour with a faint blush, pale on rim. This has a fresh nose with gently concentrated aromas of white stonefruits, honesuckle and apricot kernels, still to unfold more interest. Off-dry to taste and light-bodied, clean and soft flavours of stonefruits and honey show on the front palate. The mouthfeel is balanced with soft acidity and the residual sugar, and the wine is harmonious in texture. The palate follows a light phenolic line and recedes to a finish with delicate honey and stonefruit elements. This is a light and gently flavoured off-dry Pinot Gris. Serve as an aperitif and with mild Asian fare over the next 2 years. Nelson fruit fermented to 12.5% alc. and 12 g/L RS. 16.0+/20 Feb 2014 RRP $12.99
