Fiddler’s Green Waipara Valley Classic Riesling 2015

Riesling from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 21-Jul-2016
Bright straw-yellow colour with green-gold hues, lighter on the edge. The nose is soft and refined with pure and clear aromas of lime and lemon fruit with nuances of honey, sherbet and delicate notes of exotic florals. Medium in sweetness and light-medium bodied, the flavours of limes, and lemons are gently enriched by honied elements along with sherbet, exotic florals and hints of musk. The mouthfeel is softly fresh with lacy acidity forming a near-brisk line, providing good tension and energy. The flavours carry to a lingering finish of citrus fruit, florals and honey. This is a light, gently rich medium Riesling with lime and lemon flavours and honey and musk. Serve with mildly spicy Asian cuisine over the next 3-4 years. Fruit from the ‘Stirling’ and ‘Georges Road’ vineyard, cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and 15 g/L RS, the wine aged 8 months on lees. 17.0+/20 Jul 2016 RRP $19.99
