Felton Road Central Otago Riesling 2002

Riesling from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 17-Sep-2012
Fruit from ‘Block 4' from ‘The Elms' vineyard, WBP and indigenous yeast fermented to 10.0% alc. and 35 g//L rs. Pale straw-yellow colour, this has a very fine, but complex, detailed bouquet with lime fruit, toasty notes, and honey aromas. Medium-dry to medium to taste, the palate features a complex flavour amalgam of caramel, honey, barley sugar and toast with hints of tropical fruits. The mouthfeel is fine and the wine is gently mouthfilling to become more expansive. Yet there is good palate drive anf excellent acid tension and freshness underlying. This has developed attractive toffee-like complexities. Drink over the next 2+ years. 18.5/20 Sep 2012 RRP $N/A
