Felton Road ‘Block 3′ Central Otago Pinot Noir 2010

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Otago

Almost totally 10/5 clone, fermented with indigenous yeasts with 20% whole cluster to 14.0% alc., the wine aged 13 months in French oak. Very dark, deep, ruby-red colour with youthful purple hues, this has a very full, deep and powerful bouquet full of dark berry, plum and herb aromas. The wine is dense, solid and packed with a core of sweet, dark berry, plum, herb and complex earth flavours. Lush and succulent, while solidly constructed, with great extract and depth, this promises to unfold much more and develop greater interest and complexity over the next 6-8+ years.  Jun 2011
