Mendoza clone from ‘Block 2', WBP and fully barrel-fermented with indigenous yeasts to 14.0% alc., the wine aged 18 months in 12% new French oak with batonnage and full MLF. Light golden straw yellow colour, the bouquet is softly full, mellow and concentrated with secondary notes just appearing, but the bouquet has more to unfold. White stonefruits, oak and toast form a concentrated palate, a little textural line carrying the flavours. Attractive flinty lees and reduction feature, the acidity softening. This still has plenty to show, and just hinting at development. 3-4+ years still. 19.0+/20 Sep 2012 RRP $N/A
