Felton Road ‘Block 1′ Central Otago Riesling 2012

Riesling from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 17-Sep-2012
Fruit from ‘Block 1' of ‘The Elms' vineyard with silt influenced soils, WBP and indigenous yeast fermented to 8.5% alc. and 67 g/L rs, and a TA of 9.4 g/L. Very pale straw-yellow with slight green hues. The bouquet is one of great finesse and delicacy with detailed nuances of white florals and distinctive minerality. Medium-sweet to taste, this is beautifully ethereal on palate with flavours of lime, florals and rainwater infused with honey and minerals. The mouthfeel is poised with very fine, seamless flow, the most gentle of textures and refined, lacy acidity. The sweetness and richness asserts itself on the very long finish. A ravishing, stylish beauty. This will develop over the next 5-6+ years. 19.5/20 Sep 2012 RRP $39.00
