Even red colour, a little lighter.  Very elegant, finely expressed on nose, still with primary red fruit aromas and fragrance, unfolding some savoury detail.  Quite sinewy on palate, less fruit-focussed and showing some savoury dried herbal complexity, but still showing good acidity. 18.0+/20 Aug 2014 RRP $N/A  Fruit one-third each from ‘The Elms', ‘Cornish Point' and ‘Calvert' fermented with 20% whole clusters to 14.5% alc., the wine aged 11 months in French oak. Lightish ruby-red with purple hues, this has a fresh, brackish nose with concentrated and robust aromas of violetty florals, dark plums, cherries and spicy dark herbs. This is full-bodied with bold, concentrated flavours of ripe, dark berry and plum fruits, expressed with sweetness and lusciousness. Fulsome textures provide good breadth, and this has fresh acidity and vibrancy to the palate line. There is a youthful rawness, with up-front fruit in a more robust and near-heartiness of style. 5-7 years. 18.5+/20 Sep 2012 RRP $55.00
