Feiler-Artinger Neuberger 2012

Other White from Austria
Review Date : 16-Mar-2015
Bright, light golden colour. This has a very full and broad nose with yellow stonefruits and restrained herbal fruit elements entwined with nutty barrel and reductive lees notes. Suggestions of sacky and waxy detail are present. Dry to taste, the palate is soft and plush with rich yellow stonefruit flavours, harmoniously melded with nutty and mealy interest. This is soft textured and rounded in mouthfeel, but the palate possesses a fine line of acidity which leads the wine to a rounded finish with emerging textures and smoky notes. This has some attractive and complexing winemaker inputs. Drink over the next 3 years. Rust, Burgenland. Fermented in barriques and puncheons to 13.5% alc., the wine aged 5 months on lees. 18.0-/20 Mar 2015 RRP $48.00
